Jack Knox Training
Clinic
JULY 11 - 13th
The training clinic
is open
to all levels of dogs and handlers
We will be limiting
the
number of dogs allowing each handler/dog team to
work twice
a day. The sheep are wool sheep for the
most part, I may also have some young Kathadins.
There are appropriate sheep for all work. There
is a variety of places to work the dogs
in. There is a round pen, a small
pasture, a 3 & 6 acre hay field as well as a 40 acre field. We also have the ability to set up a couple
trial
courses.
Saturday and Sunday
of the clinic will be held in the usual clinic format. Moday will
be a bit different. Jack has been wanting to do a trail/judging
clinic. Monday - We will work on individual skills and run a
course with Jack giving each of us suggestions for improvement.
We will have an open type course set up as well as a smaller course in
a fenced pasture for the younger dogs. Those dogs entered in the
clinic on Monday must be able to run at least a Novice
course. You may enter any or all the days of the clinic and
there will be audit spots all
three days. IF you enter the clinic Sat and Sunday and want to
audit Monday there will be only a nominal charge for the additional day.
Audit: $70.00 each day or $180.00 for 3 days
Lunch and
refreshment will be
provided both days. We will adjust the clinic hours
depending on the temperatures and do what is best for the dogs and
livestock. We may begin early and finish before 4 or we may
take a longer break in the late afternoon for lunch and
discussion.
Limited Camper
parking
available only
if the ground is solid / dry– no hookups
Entry form and
check must be
